New west coast tour dates posted below, plus one night in Chicago! Japan Tour details coming soon!!

Ida song is on "Peace (For Mom...)" CD

Jon Whitney at Brainwashed.com put together this benefit compilation after his mother passed away.

"Proceeds will be donated to The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Mass., where my mom volunteered after her retirement. Additionally, a stone bench has been erected at the top of Mount Pollux in Amherst in her name. Visitors are welcome. Donations are encouraged to funds that aid early childhood literacy initiatives. My mom would appreciate that." — Jon Whitney, 2008

With music by Antony & The Johnsons, Current 93, Matmos, HNIA, Stars Of The Lid and many more....

Welcome, at last, to the new Ida website.

This site is still under construction as we write, and it will be regularly updated with news, free music, rare live tapes, videos, and vast amounts of Ida-related words, sounds, images, and thoughts. From here on out this is the place for all things Ida past, present and future. At least its "the place" online...

To all the people who have supported us over the years and come to our shows, and especially those of you who have written us and encouraged us to get a new site together, this is for you.

Its taking shape and is definitely a work in progress. Come in, look around, tell us what you think.

20 or so downloads are for free and then the price starts to go up gradually. You can leave comments if you want to. If you already have the album consider sending a friend there to check it out for free or for cheap. Heart Like A River is also up there with the same kind of "free for a while" deal. If you are feeling it, spread the word, let the people know. Thanks!

CALLUM BENEFIT

Some of you may remember that we played a benefit for Cal Robbins in Boston last summer with The Secret Stars, Mark Robinson (of Unrest), & Thalia Zedek. It was a beautiful night where people really came together for a cause dear to everyone involved. Brad over at the fine music blog Bradley's Almanac has put together an mp3 compilation with live recordings from the show. It was truly an inspiring night, and Brad came up with the idea of making the compilation a benefit for Cal as well. Please make a donation to Cal and his family and enjoy the music!!
